Wanda Lea Sieker

Ellinwood, KS 

Wanda Lea Sieker, 90, passed away on Nov. 16th, 2019 at Ellinwood District Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Drumright, OK on Jan. 29th, 1929 she was the daughter of Carl and Nettie (Cargill) Shaffer.  A longtime resident of Ellinwood she married Harry F. Sieker Jr. on Oct. 12th, 1947 in Ellinwood, KS.  

Wanda was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was the church secretary for 57 years.

Survivors include son, Kenny Sieker (Teresa), Ellinwood, KS; daughter, Donna Long (Bob), Ellinwood, KS; sister, Shirley Walker, Bedford, TX. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jerry Sieker; daughter, Vicki Curtis; sisters, Dorothy Hartman and Exie McPherson. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wed. Nov. 20th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, KS with Rev. Thomas Thierfelder and Rev. Kenton Abbott officiating. Visitation will be Tues., Nov. 19th   from 1-7 PM with family present from 5-7 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Child Development Center or St. John's Lutheran Church - New Building Fund in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
