Velma Ann Wornkey

Velma Ann Wornkey, 75, died Apr 7, 2014 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. Velma was born Jan 3, 1939 in Menlo, Ks to Frank and Rose (Mannebaugh) Moos. She married Jerry Wornkey on August 31 1957. Velma was a Kansan for life working multiple clerical jobs along with being a good and loving mother.

She is survived by children; Michelle (Robert) Berger, Jeff Wornkey, Greg (Dawn) Wornkey, Melinda (Glenn Jr.) Schleve; sisters, Bernice Petz and Thelma Cole and ex husband Jerry Wornkey. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, and a great grand daughter.

Funeral Mass will be Fri Apr. 11 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Thurs Apr. 10 from 1-7 pm at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Altar society will pray a rosary at 3pm on Apr 10 and a vigil service will be held at 7 pm that evening.
