Sondra Lee (Conwell) Wise

Sondra Lee Wise, 81, passed away at Ellinwood District Hospital on September 29, 2015. Born December 19, 1933 in Wellington, KS she was the daughter of Richard "Dick" & Nellie (Robinson) Conwell. She was a lifetime Ellinwood resident graduating from Ellinwood High School in 1952. She married husband Jack Wise in Ellinwood on July 10, 1953 and enjoyed 62 years together. He survives of the home. She also graduated from Salt City Business College in Hutchinson. Sondra was a member of the Ellinwood District Hospital Auxiliary, the Chamber of Commerce in Great Bend, Grove Park Golf Club, and was an organizer and sponsor for Meals on Wheels, a Girl's Home in Great Bend, and the "After School Program” associated with the Ellinwood Grade school. She also was the owner and secretary of Dick’s Engine Service for 47 years. 

She is survived by husband, Jack Wise, Ellinwood, KS; son, Andy (Joanie) Wise, Ellinwood, KS; daughter, Robin (Donald) Moos, Ellinwood, KS ; brother, Richard (Candy) Conwell, Great Bend, KS. Other survivors include Grandchildren, Tiffany Eaton, Kendra Kaiser, Cassandra Batchman, Keri Vinduska, and Leslie Humphreys; great-grandchildren, Chandler & Chance Eaton, Ava, Landon, Mya Kaiser, Cale, Alyvia, Mallory Batchman, and Emery and Sydney Vinduska. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sherrie (Conwell) Johnson, and a son, Randy Bill Wise.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation is at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood on Friday October 2^nd from 1-4 pm. There will be a Private Burial at a later date at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood District Hospital Auxiliary or Meals on Wheels, in care of Minnis Chapel, 113 North Main, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
