Shirley A. (Berry) Heaton

Shirley A. Heaton, 79, passed away at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood on October 12, 2015. Born September 25, 1936 in Ronan, MT she was the daughter of Archie E. Berry & Alice (Frazier) Bader. She worked as a homemaker, drove a school bus, and was a cook for the Hospital in Lakin, KS. She also loved to play bingo and cards. She is survived by sons, Zane Gray, Lake Havasu, AZ and Randie Baker, Lakin, KS; daughters, Robin Gray, Ellinwood, KS, Ronda Krier (Darryl), Ellinwood, KS, and Lori Haefner (Curtis) Onago, KS; and sisters, Charlene Truax, Wilsall, MT and Delsie Bader, Sutton, NE. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family burial at Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, KS at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Heartland Cancer Center in Great Bend in care of Minnis Chapel, 113 N. Main, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
