Samantha Marie (Caldwell) Cundiff

Samantha Marie (Caldwell) Cundiff, 48, passed away at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas on Sept. 13, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska on April 27, 1976 she was the daughter of Curtis & JoAnn (Lamont) Caldwell. She attended Phillipsburg HS later receiving her certification to become a CMA/CNA. Samantha worked as a caregiver for those with intellectual disabilities. She was a member of the National Honor Society.  Samantha was a resident of Ellinwood since 2021 formerly of Hays and Russel. She married Shawn Cundiff on May 21, 2023. 
Survivors include husband, Shawn Cundiff, Ellinwood, KS; children, Emma (Jonathan) Wililams, Kansas City, KS, Kelli (Sergio) Williams, Hays, KS, Garrett Williams, Hays, KS; sisters, Heidi (Chester) Freeman, Ellinwood, KS and McKenzie (Stan) Flinn, Hays, KS; grandchildren, Tobias and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carmen and Cecil Lamont; parents Curtis and JoAnn Caldwell; cousin, Raquel Pennington. 
Memorial service will take place 2:00 PM, Tuesday Sept. 17 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with Pastor Samuel Ryan. Memorials are suggested towards funeral expenses in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
