Robert "Bub" Melvin Hunt

Robert “Bub” Melvin Hunt, 48, passed away on Oct. 18th, 2021 at Ellinwood District Hospital. Born in Garden City, Ks on Dec. 31, 1972 he was the son of Billy & Beverly Jean (Coates) Hunt. Bub grew up and graduated from Dighton High School. After high school he graduated from Seward Co. Community College with an Associates Degree. For the last 15 years he was resident of Ellinwood, KS where he did farm labor and construction work.

Survivors include mother, Beverly Hunt; 3 brothers, Rex Birney, Dighton, KS and his children, Brant, Landon, Caitlon, Zach, Dalton, Weston, and Paiton; Buzz and Clifann Birney, Ellinwood, KS and their children Joshua and Rachel, Kylee and Alex; and Brad Birney, Dighton, KS.

A graveside service will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mullinville, KS at 11:30 AM on Fri., Oct. 22nd with Pastor Mark Fillmore officiating. Visitation will take place from 6:30-8 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood on Thurs. Oct. 21st. Memorials are suggested to "Live Like Jesus Today Ministries" in care of Minnis Chapel, PO box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
