Ricky Meier

Ricky Meier, 62, passed away at Newton Medical Center on Oct. 18th, 2021. Born in Ellinwood, KS on Feb. 14, 1959 he was the son of Lowell "Red" & Carolin Sue Redding Meier. He was a lifetime Barton Co. resident who traveled the country as a truck driver. Ricky always has been a cowboy at heart even taking on a few bull rides in his earlier years.

Survivors include father, Lowell "Red" Meier; sister, Cheryl (Carl) Isern and her children Christopher (Morgan) Isern, Caylee Isern, Cody (Anna) Isern; and sister, Christy Landis and her children Byron (Betsy) Landis, Courtney Landis (Samantha), and his little buddy Cooper Turley.  Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Carolin Sue Meier and brother, Byron Meier.  

As per Ricks request a celebration of life will be held Sat., Nov. 6th from 1-5 at 193 SE 1st Ave. in Great Bend, KS. A private family service will take place at a later date at Bushton-Farmer Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Prosser Arena in Odin, KS in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
