Patricia A. (Spicer) Petz

ELLINWOOD, KS

Patricia A. Petz, 78, passed away at Ellinwood District Hospital on February 22, 2016. Born February 18, 1938 in St. Mary’s, Ohio she was the daughter of Marvin & Olive (Smelzer) Spicer. She was a lifetime Barton County resident graduating from Great Bend High School in 1957. She married Lee Petz at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend on April 27, 1957. Pat was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood and the Altar Society.

Survivors include husband, Lee Petz; sons, Marvin Petz, Dean (Billy) Petz, Jerome (Melanie) Petz; daughter, Cindy Ringering; brothers, James (Sherry) Spicer, Tony (Jamie) Spicer; sisters, Virginia Sockrider, and Carol Bogart. Other survivors include grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Dewey, Rachel Ringering, Derek Petz, Lafe Petz, Haley Petz, Abby Petz, Jay (Jordan) Petz, Dustin Petz, and Austin Petz. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Bogart.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday February 26 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Thursday February 25 from 12-6 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with the Altar Society Rosary at 3 PM. There will be a Vigil Service starting at 7 PM also Thursday at the church.
