Melvin S. Ringering

Ellinwood, KS

Melvin Stanley Ringering, 76,  passed away at home on Monday January 5th, 2015.  He was a life long resident of the area.  He was born on August 22nd 1938 to Stanley H and Dorothy (Schade) Ringering.  On August 30, 1959 he married Karen Fox in Ellinwood.

Melvin was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church.  He was a farmer and former mail carrier, member of the Lions club, Boy Scout Leader, Ellinwood Volunteer Fire Department and EMT Service, as well as a member of the Ellinwood Area Healthcare Foundation.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife; sisters, Gladys Barnett of Wichita and Mrs. Milton (Delores) Schwertfeger of Ellinwood.  He is also survived by sons Richard (Debbie) of Plano, TX, Russell (Monica) of Ellinwood and Paul (Shelby) of Wamego, KS.  In addition 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren survive.

A Memorial Service will be at the First Baptist Church south of Ellinwood on Thursday January 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a private family burial preceding the service. There will be a visitation at Minnis Chapel from 1-6 P.M. on Jan. 7^th.
