Maggie A. Brown

Maggie Ann (Deibert) Brown, 82, died March 1, 2015, at her home in Ellinwood of pancreatic cancer. She was born April 7, 1932, near Hoxie, the daughter of Julius Edwin and Fairy Fay (Barr) Deibert. She married Earl Robert Brown on June 5, 1949. He died in 1997. She was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper and as a cook at the Alcove Club. Survivors include sons Terry Brown of Bel Aire, KS and Tony (Brenda) Brown of Brookshire, TX, grandchildren Trisha Kuhn, Christina Lea and Bryan Whitman, five great grandchildren, and brothers Kenneth (Darlene) Deibert of North Platte, NE and Frank (Vonnie) Deibert of Brewster. A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 10^th at 10:30 a.m at the Immanual United Church of Christ in Ellinwood, KS with Pastor Jennifer Fair presiding. A private burial of her cremated remains will be held at a later date at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
