Lloyd Eldridge Wood Jr.

 Lloyd Eldridge Wood Jr., 76, died on September 17, 2019.  Born August 30, 1943 to Lloyd Sr. and Dorothy Russell in Kansas City, MO, Wood was a resident of Ellinwood since 1972.  He is survived by Lynda, his wife of 51 years; children Lloyd III (Woody) of Washington, DC, and Joanna Hohn of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren Elizabeth and Ryan Hohn; and sisters Shirley Hartshorn of Kansas City, KS and Linda Pittman of Blue Springs, MO.  A graduate of Kansas City Washington H.S. and Washburn U., Wood opened Pop’N Shop in Ellinwood in 1976.

 A celebration of Wood’s life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood on Thursday, September 19 at 10:30 AM.  Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood Garden Club or Ellinwood Fire Dept. in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS.
