John C. Hanne

John C. Hanne, age 70, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 at the KU. Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. He was born on April 6, 1951 in Wichita, KS he was the son of Robert and Frances (Rogers) Hanne. John was an Ellinwood resident for 1 year, and a Las Vegas resident for 30 years. He served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the American Legion and loved his motorcycle. Survivors include his three daughters, Shonda (Shane) Sowers, Salina, KS, Sherry (Scott) Marcic, Great Bend, KS, Francesca (David) Hanne, Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Frank (Wendy) Wasson, Mesa, AZ, David Wasson, IL, Roger Wasson, Texarkana, TX, Wayne Wasson and Robin Hanne; sister, Leah Davis, Texarkana, TX; grandchildren Ethan, Leah, Salem and 5 grand-pups.  He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Wesley Wasson.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place May 7th 10 am at Lakin- Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, KS. Memorials for John can be made out to Minnis Chapel to assist with funeral expenses in care of Minnis Chapel, 113 N. Main St, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
