Jerry D. Sieker

Jerry D. Sieker, 65, passed away in Great Bend, Ks on June 30, 2014. He was born on January 17, 1949 in Great Bend, Ks to Harry (Jr) and Wanda Sieker. He graduated from Ellinwood High School and attended Fort Hays State University. He was a lifelong resident of Barton County making a living as a farmer and mechanic. Jerry was well known in the area for being one of the best mechanics around. He married Marcia (Doherty) Sieker on July 25, 1975 in Ellinwood, Ks and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Ellinwood. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Sieker Jr and sister, Vicki Curtis.

He is survived by wife of almost 40 years; mother, Wanda Sieker; sons, Kevin (Beth) Sieker, Kansas City, Mo,  Kyle (Kalyn) Sieker, Manhattan, Ks; daughters, Kimberly (Dallas) Klepper, Council Grove, Ks, Kelci (Kevin) Hall, Larned, Ks; brother, Kenny (Teresa) Sieker, Ellinwood, Ks; sister, Donna (Bob) Long, Ellinwood, Ks; and grandchildren, Klaire Hall and Lydia Klepper .

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., July 3, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood with Pastor Jeff Frakes presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
