Iris LaVern (Buckbee) Pohlman

Iris LaVern (Buckbee) Pohlman, 84, passed away in Ellinwood, KS on February 18, 2017. She was born in Ellinwood on October 24, 1932 to Roy & Elizabeth (Heinze) Buckbee. She was a lifetime Ellinwood resident where she was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary as well as numerous other church and community projects throughout the years.    
Survivors include husband of 60 years, Alfred Pohlman; 2 sons, Alan (Casey) Pohlman, Mark (Shannon) Pohlman; 3 daughters, Vickie (David) Tucker, Janie and late husband (Gary) Davis, and Sonya (Greg) Lamatsch. Other survivors include 2 sisters, Margie (Howard) Wallace and Madge (Robert) Yarmer; a sister-in-law, Barbara Buckbee; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Bill & Monroe Buckbee.  
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday February 21st at Immanual United Church of Christ in Ellinwood. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood. Visitation with family present will be Monday February 20th from 6-8 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood.
