Francisco "Frank" Zamora Cortez

Francisco "Frank" Zamora Cortez Jr, 65, passed away at Ellinwood District Hospital on Sept. 14, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Born in San Marcos, TX on July 13, 1959 to parents Francisco and Amelia (Zamora) Cortez. Frank graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983 after graduating he spent his career working in management at numerous hotels and restaurants. He married Connie Starns on April 10, 1990 in Wichita, KS. They have been residents of Ellinwood resident for 20 years. 
Survivors include Wife, Connie Cortez; Mother, Amelia Cortez; Children, Erica (Chris), Frank ( Abbi) and Steven (Bethany); Granddaughters, Sophia, Olivia, Ingrid, and Aria; Brothers, Tony and Gilbert; Sisters, Mary Alice, Pat, Gloria, and Yolanda. Frank also leaves behind numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Grandparents, and Brother, Freddy. 
Cremation will take place. Family will receive friends on Sept. 28th from 2-4 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested toward American Kidney Association in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
