Eileen Iva Voth, 94, passed away in Great Bend, KS on Feb. 20, 2023. Born on June 13, 1928 in Marion, KS she was the daughter of Clinton J. and Hazel (Smith) Ecker. Eileen graduated from Marion HS in 1946 and married John C. Voth in Marion on July 17, 1946. Formerly of Marion, KS Eileen was a longtime Ellinwood resident where she worked as the City librarian for 23 year before her retirement.
Survivors include son, Jan Voth; grandson, Chris Clayton-Voth; granddaughter, Salara Clayton-Voth, grandson, Corey Clayton-Voth, granddaughter, Janelle Voth great-granddaughter, Sami Barosy; great-great-granddaughter True Barosy, and great-granddaughter, Allie Pooler; brothers, Dale Ecker and Don Ecker; granddaughter, Jennifer EDRI-Voth. Other survivors include niece, Julie Ecker; nephew Randy Ecker and children Clinton, Willow, and Zoie. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Calvin Voth (2010).
Graveside service will take place 1:00 PM, Sat., Mar. 4 at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating. Visitation will take place Fri., Mar. 3 from 11-7 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood Public School & Library Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
