Delores (Achatz) Hauser

Delores (Achatz) Hauser, 99, passed away in Larned, KS on May 8th, 2022. Born July 19th, 1922 at home in rural Ellinwood she was the daughter of Henry and Rose (Koch) Achatz. A lifetime Ellinwood area resident Delores married Edward Hauser on May 13th, 1946 he passed away July 13th, 1996. Delores was a homemaker, mother, and sports fan who enjoyed bingo and bowling. She worked for Avon in addition to a handful of other jobs. 

Former memberships include St. Joseph Catholic Church and Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, and Sunshine Club.

Survivors include daughters, Carol (JR) Lenhart, Ellinwood, KS, Connie (Mark) Koch, Pelican Rapids, MN; son, Larry (Lynda) Hauser, Ellinwood, KS; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and brother, William Achatz, Ellinwood, KS. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward Hauser; brothers, Elmer, Milton, Bobby, Richard and Tom; and sisters, Dorothy and Ada. 

Mass of Christian burial will take place 10:30 AM, Friday, May 13th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Interment will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 12th from noon-6 PM with Rosary at 3 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood.  Vigil will take place that evening at 7 PM at St. Joseph Church. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph School, or Kindred Hospice, in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
