David Schloctermeier

Larned, KS 

David Schloctermeier, 52, passed away at his home in Larned, KS. Born on December 5th, 1965 he was the son of Don & Jeanne (Martin) Schloctermeier. A longtime Larned resident formerly of Ellinwood, he grew up with a love of hunting and the outdoors. David graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1984. Later he worked as a sales representative for Jimmie Jones Welding Supply and as an oil field worker.

Survivors include, daughter, Rachel Pumford (Chase), Topeka, KS; parents, Don & Jeanne Schloctermeier; sisters, Jamie Zink (Brian), Claflin, KS, and Jill Moore, Ellinwood, KS. Other survivors include 2 nephews and 3 nieces. 

Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 16th at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church north of Ellinwood at 10:30 AM with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15th from 1-7 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with the parish Vigil/Rosary at 7 PM also at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter & Paul Church or Donor's Choice in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box, 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
