Darrell L. Shultz

Darrell L. Shultz, 83, passed away on Mar. 7th, 2021 in Ellinwood, KS surrounded by loved ones. Born on Apr. 12, 1937 in Hutchinson, KS he was the son of Harry M. and Electa L. (Strawn) Shultz. Darrell grew up in Nickerson, KS moving to Raymond, KS in 1956. He married Juanita “Bobbi” Messick on Mar. 17, 1957 in Raymond, KS. Darrell worked in the oil field as a contract pumper and well operator for S & S Oil and was a longtime member of the Raymond City Council and Raymond Fire Dept. and was a longtime member of Raymond Baptist Church. 

Survivors include wife, Juanita “Bobbi” Shultz, Ellinwood, KS; son, James (Valerie) Chase, KS, daughters, Christi (Bruce) Thomson, Raymond, KS and Sheri (Ronnie) Hoover, El Dorado, KS; brother, Doug (Sandy) Shultz, Nickerson, KS; sisters, Dorothy Wall, Hutchinson, KS and Diane Parsons, Pratt, KS. Other survivors include grandchildren, Tiffany (Bobby) Webb, Tenelle (Brent) Nuest, Shawnda Wood, Jeremy Wood, Dane Wood, Jacob Hoover, Jaci Hoover and another 13 great-grandchildren. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Darlene Eiland and Dolly June Schiewe; and brother, Delbert Shultz. Graveside service will be Fri., 2:00 PM, Mar. 12th at Hilltop Cemetery in Raymond, KS. Visitation will be Thurs., 11-7 PM with family present from 5-7 on Mar. 11th, at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS. Memorials are suggested to Raymond Baptist Church in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
