Carol A. Cole, R.N., 76, passed away at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood on April 13th, 2018. Born on December 27th, 1941 in Great Bend, KS she was the daughter of Charles R. & Virginia Cole (Hornberger). A lifetime Ellinwood resident she graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1959. Mrs. Cole was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and past Secretary of Ellinwood Area Enterprise and President of the VFW & American Legion Auxiliary. Her favorite past times were her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, & Bingo.       

Survivors include Daughters, Kimberly Schlotthauer (Dave), Ellinwood, & Amber (Chad) Petz, Ellinwood; Grandchildren, Mike Nienke, April Beals, Falisha Simpson, Tasha Manring, Lauren & Cole Petz; and Great Grandchildren, Makenze Myers, Brittany & Landon Simpson, Emma Nienke, Brandi, & Caid Beals.  

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 17th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood. Visitation will be Monday, April 16th from 1-6 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood Rotary Club or Ellinwood Lions Club in care of Minnis Chapel, Ellinwood, KS 67526. Condolences may be posted at www.minnischapel.org
