Carl Ringwald

Ellinwood, KS 

Reinder Carl Ringwald,92, died on June 22, 2015, in Great Bend, Kansas. Born June 19, 1923, in rural Rice County, Kansas, he was the son of Reinder W. and Arrendiena (Soeken) Ringwald.   On May 18, 1952, he married Edna Claudine Ewalt in Great Bend, Kansas. She survives. 

     Mr. Ringwald was baptized in St. John Lutheran Church, Ellinwood, Kansas, and was a lifetime member of the church.  A lifetime resident of rural Rice County and Ellinwood, Kansas, he was a farmer/stockman until his retirement in 2010.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Edna Claudine; two daughters, Constance J. Sudbeck and husband George of Ellinwood, Kansas, and Carrie L. Ringwald of Chase, Kansas; and one son, Cletis R. Ringwald of Lyons, Kansas, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Calvin L. Ringwald; four sisters; Gesina Honnen, Antje Dobrinski, Minnie McQuilliam, and Dorthea Juergensen; and a brother, Wessel Ringwald.

      Pursuant to his wishes, cremation has occurred.  There will be no visitation or graveside service.  A memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, Kansas, on July 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Lloyd Sprick officiating.
