Bobbie M. (McFarland) Richardson

Bobbie M. Richardson, 92, passed away at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Born at home on December 12, 1925 in Broken Bow, OK, she was the daughter of Robert & Nell (Short) McFarland. She graduated from Great Bend High School and later married Lyle Richardson on October 20, 1946 in Great Bend, KS shortly after his return from WW2. Lyle passed in November of 1983. They were longtime residents of Ellinwood, KS moving to Las Vegas, NV in 1983. Bobbie moved back home to Ellinwood in 2004. While in Las Vegas, Bobbie worked for 22 years at Stardust Casino where she loved the excitement and people.

Memberships include Ellinwood Garden Club, Grove Park Golf Club and Immanuel United Church of Christ. Mrs. Richardson was also an avid bridge player who loved her time spent playing cards with friends.

Survivors include daughter, Marcia Berchek, Great Bend, KS; and 6 nieces and nephews. Bobbie was preceded in death by husband, Lyle Richardson; son, Donald R. Richardson; and sister, Kay Peterson (Bob).

Memorial service will be Friday, November 9th at 10:30 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Ellinwood, KS with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later time.
