Barbara A. Carstens

Barbara A. Carstens, 70, passed away unexpectedly at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS on Sept. 12th, 2020. Born on June 10, 1950 in Humansville, MO she was the daughter of Ray & Nellie (Hamby) Campbell. A graduate of Stockton High School (Stockton, MO) in 1969 she was a 40 year resident in Ellinwood where she worked at John Henry’s and Barton Co. Community College and was currently working at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood.

Survivors include longtime companion Dick Koeppen, Ellinwood, KS; mother, Nellie Campbell, Ellinwood, KS; daughter, Sherry Marcic and husband Scott, Great Bend, KS. Other survivors include beloved grandchildren Ethan & Leah.

Memorial service will take place 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 16th at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to “funeral expenses” in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
