Judith Ann (Jones) Sateren

Judith Ann (Jones) Sateren, 74, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS on September 16, 2018. Born in Concordia, KS on April 29, 1944 to parents Vern & Mary Jones. She graduated from LaCrosse high school in 1962.  She married Dean Sateren on November 9, 1963 in McVille, ND. Mrs. Sateren was a longtime Ellinwood resident formerly of LaCrosse. She enjoyed time with family and friends, quilting, and gardening.

Survivors include husband, Dean Sateren, Ellinwood, KS; son, Rick (Debbie) Sateren, Henderson, NV; daughters, Kimberly Ward, Ellinwood, KS & Jodi Schriner, Salina, KS; brother, Tom Jones (Barb), Klamath Falls, OR; and sister, Sue (Glenn) Woods, Rush Center, KS. Other survivors include grandchildren, Lindsey Ward, Ashley Ward, Haley (Joe) Broz, Ryley Ney, Chris (Julie) Schriner, Chandler Schriner, Mason Sateren, Dylan Sateren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood, KS with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20 from 1-8 PM with family present from 6-8 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Twilight Stitchers, United Methodist Church, or the family for later designation in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
