Jeanne Rae Schloctermeier

Jeanne Schloctermeier, 71, passed away April 1st, 2018 at Ellinwood District Hospital in Ellinwood, KS. She was born on February 2nd 1947 in El Dorado, KS to Melvin Ray & Florence Mae (Wakefield) Martin.  She lived in Augusta, KS until 8th grade later moving to Ellinwood where she graduated High School in 1965. Shortly after she married her high school sweetheart Don Schloctermeier at St. Peter and Church, Ellinwood. Jeanne worked at Farmers Mutual Insurance in Ellinwood in addition to the tasks of being a farm wife where she did everything from cooking, cleaning, & raising children to driving the farm trucks. She truly enjoyed working alongside her husband. Memberships include St. Joseph's Church, Altar Society, & former member of St. Peter & Paul Church. 

Survivors include husband, Don Schloctermeier, Ellinwood; daughters, Jamie (Brian) Zink, Claflin, and Jill Moore, Ellinwood. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren, Lacey Steffan, Austin Zink (Danielle Carroll), Lindsey Colston (Dustin), Daniel Immediato, Raegan Moore, Rachel (Chase) Pumford; and great-grandchildren, Callie Steffan, Maxx Steffan & Wade Carroll. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Schloctermeier. 

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Thursday, April 5th at St. Peter & Paul Church north of Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4th at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood from 11-5 PM with parish Rosary at 3 PM. Vigil service will be 6:30 PM that evening at St. Peter & Paul Church. Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood Hospital Foundation, St. Peter & Paul Church, or Donor's Choice in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
