Goldie F. Manning, 80, passed away on Sept. 16, 2019 in Ellinwood, KS. Born on February 12, 1939 in Stockton, MO she was the daughter of Able & Lula Hamby Wilson (Little). She married John Lyle Manning Dec. 13, 1956 in Bolivar, MO and later moved to Ellinwood, KS in 1956. They enjoyed nearly 63 years of marriage. Goldie was a member of Grace Community Church in Great Bend, KS. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, gardening & St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Survivors include daughters, Peggy Manning, Ellinwood, KS, Carla (Ed) Herl, Puyallup, WA; son, Greg (Arlene) Manning, Ellinwood, KS; grandchildren, Keith Herl (Sua), Durham, NC, Charlie Manning, Holyrood, KS, Alicia Hoeffner, Ellinwood, KS, Shane Herl, Puyallup, WA, Brent Manning (Erica), Stafford, KS, Jared (Jessica) Manning, Ellinwood, KS; & 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Curtis Dean Manning and brothers, Leland Hamby, Ellis Hamby, James “Babe” Hamby, & Ray Hamby.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, Sept. 19th at Grace Community Church in Great Bend, KS with Pastor Jay Beuoy officiating. Interment will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood, KS. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 18th from 3-8 PM  with family present from 6-8 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS.
