Dallas Lynn DeWerff 77, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the hospital in Durant, Oklahoma. He was born on June 4, 1940 in Great Bend, Kansas to the late Harold Eggert De Werff and Ruth Rebecca Koch DeWerff. Dallas was raised in Ellinwood, Kansas where he graduated high school in 1958. He married Cinda Lue Wilcox in Ellinwood on June 5, 1960.   In 1960 Dallas and his brother, Dennis begin operating a dairy farm where he worked until 1979. From 1980 to 1995, Dallas operated 2 oilfield service business. In 1995 he moved to Fairview, Oklahoma and worked as a Golf Course Superintendent. He later worked for Lake Murray and Lake Texoma Golf courses and retired in 2013. He was a member of the Lighthouse Methodist Church, Kingston, the AMPI, Associated Milk Producers Inc. and the USGA Golf Superintendent Association. Dallas enjoyed golfing, playing domino’s and hunting. His greatest love was the Kansas Jayhawks and his grandchildren.             

He is survived by Wife, Cinda Lue DeWerff, Kingston, Oklahoma; Children, Randall L. DeWerff and wife Lisa, Burleson, Texas, Deborah L. Messick and husband Fred, Valley Center, Kansas, Wade B. DeWerff and wife Leah, Burleson, Texas and brother, Dale DeWerff and wife Karen, of Augusta, Kansas. 

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother; Dennis DeWerff, brothers; Floyd DeWerff and Lloyd DeWerff and sister; Carol Clawson.

Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 PM at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, Kansas with Rev. Dale DeWerff officiating. Inurnment will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 2100 Alberta Creed Rd, Kingston, Oklahoma 73439.
